Women ski jumpers accuse VANOC of discrimination: "Vancouver 2010 is facing an international black eye from U.S. women ski jumpers who have accused Olympic organizers of discrimination.
Deedee Corradini, president of Women's Ski Jumping USA and a former mayor of Salt Lake City, is holding a news conference in Whistler tomorrow to lambaste 2010 organizers for excluding women from ski jumping at the Winter Games.
'Exclusion of women ski jumpers is gender discrimination,' said Corradini yesterday. 'It is against Canadian federal and provincial law to spend public funds on facilities that discriminate.' Corradini will be at a national ski-jumping event at Whistler Olympic Park in the Callaghan Valley."
